Duke Hawkins: SIAI Marchetti SF.260 - (84 pages) EN. Over 800 of the SIAI Marchetti SF.260 have been built and were in use with over 30 countries. Compact, agile and forgiving, this aircraft is ideal for pilot training. In this 84 page book, there isn’t a detail that isn’t included: cockpit - different versions of it - fuselage, wings, vertical tail and landing gear. Next to all the details, there is a lot of action in this book - it has some 250 photos in it! Air to air photografy, action on the ground and filled with a lot of first information, given by pilots and technicians. We give you an insight into the different versions, from the initial SF.260M to the upgraded SF.260D. During our visits to the maintenance hangars, we had the possibility to photograph many parts of the Marchetti SF.260 separately and in detail. Like the landing gear strut above. Of course, a close look at the cockpit is included, such as the one in the photo to the right, of an Italian SF.260EA.   The Belgian Air Force demonstration team “The Red Devils” flies 4 red painted SIAI Marchetti SF.260s. Ambassadors as they are, they are - obviously - included in this book. Also included in this book is a closer look at the SF.260 TP - the version of the aircraft equipped with a turboprop engine and three-bladed propeller. In service with air forces of the Philippines, these aircraft can be equipped with weapons on wing hardpoints.

Duke Hawkins: Dassault Mirage III & Mirage 5/50 EN. When the Mirage III, with it’s typical delta wings, was introduced, it presented an enormous step forward in military aviation. The supersonic fighter immediately proved to be a successful design and was ordered in large numbers by many air forces. It formed the backbone of the Armée de l’Air, but also of countries like Spain, Switserland, Australia, and many others. Even today, the Mirage III/5 is still in service, 6 decades after it was introduced: the Pakistan Air Force still flies the delta in large numbers. In a seperate chapter, we take a closer look at the Mirage 5, which was in use in several countries as well. The photos in this book portrait jets from Belgium, Pakistan and Argentina. Like all our other books, this new book is filled with action and details! Some of the action comes from the Pakistan Air Force, where the Mirage III/5 is still operational, other photos are from the Argentine and Swiss Air Force. The Mirage III (and 5) proved to be a successful platform for a high speed reconnaissance jet. For this, the nose was completely redesigned. In this book, every detail of the reconnaissance version is included. We offer very close details of every aspect of the Mirage III, such as the engine, landing gear, different versions of the cockpit, the entire fuselage. This book also offers the differences between the many versions of the delta. As always, we include an extensive chapter on the maintenance of the jet. For this, we visited Payerne Air Base, where the only airworthy Mirage III in Europe is maintained. The photo below shows a Mirage 50, flying in Venezuela.

Sestavený model má otočnou vrtuli, zatahovací podvozkové nohy a odnímatelný kryt kokpitu pro snadné usazení pilota. Letadlo může stát na vlastní podvozku, nebo na přiloženém stojánku s popisem. Součástí balení je figurka pilota v uniformě francouzské Armée de l´Air.

Danish Leopards in Helmand - From the crew’s perspective (EN). Hlavní bojové tanky dánské armády Leopard 2A5 byly v letech 2007-2014 nasazeny v Afghánistánu jako součást dánského příspěvku do mise NATO ISAF (International Security Assistance Force). Účelem této knihy je vyprávět příběhy dánských tankistů z "pohledu poklopu věže". Jejich příběhy jsou vyprávěny tak, jak je vojáci zprostředkovali autorovi. Čtenář tak získá vhled do některých velmi osobních příběhů o zážitcích členů posádky během jejich působení "v práci" v Afghánistánu. Tato kniha umožňuje čtenáři nahlédnout do jinak velmi uzavřeného světa těchto vojáků specialistů - do říše tankistů.  Aby se členové posádky mohli stát tankisty, musí splňovat přísné fyzické požadavky, musí být psychicky stabilní, musí být schopni zvládat více úkolů způsobem, který je těžko pochopitelný, pokud jste si práci tankisty nevyzkoušeli, a také mít nadprůměrné sociální dovednosti. Posádku tanku Leopard 2A5 tvoří čtyři lidé, kteří spolu přirozeně tráví nespočet hodin v tanku i mimo něj. Musí spolu tedy umět dobře vycházet a využívat své sociální dovednosti jako tmel, díky kterému se všechny ostatní role velitele, střelce, nabíječe a řidiče spojí v soudržnou posádku. Jedná se o posádku, která dokáže zvládnout velmi složitý stroj a vyniknout ve smrtelně nebezpečném prostředí, v němž se Leopard 2 v Afghánistánu pohyboval.
